PeopleVanta uses cookies and similar browser storage primarily for sign-in security, session continuity, preferences and reliable application operation.
Last updated 17 October 2026Session and CSRF cookies help keep users signed in securely and protect form submissions. Browser storage may remember interface preferences, a current POS basket and the identifier of a phone scanner paired to the active cashier shift. Disabling essential storage can prevent core features from working.
Preference storage may remember language, theme and selected workspace settings. If optional analytics or marketing tools are introduced, they should be identified in the consent interface and used according to the choices available there.
Browser controls can remove or block cookies. Doing so may sign the user out, clear an unfinished basket or require a device to be paired again.
